Note: We use Instagram Login only. We do not use Facebook Login or collect Facebook account information.

Instagram Integration and Permissions

Our service integrates with Instagram through Instagram's official API. We authenticate users using Instagram Login only (we do not use Facebook Login).

Important: All authentication credentials are stored securely and are never shared with third parties. Your connection to Instagram is automatically maintained, and you can revoke access at any time through your Instagram account settings.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data.

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Data Deletion and Deauthorization

Your Right to Delete Data

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. We comply with Meta's data deletion requirements and will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through the following methods:

• Email Request: Send a data deletion request to connect@syncrelay.co with your Instagram username or account ID
• Dashboard: Use the account deletion feature in your dashboard settings
• Instagram Settings: Remove our app from your Instagram account settings (this triggers automatic deauthorization)

Automatic Data Deletion

In compliance with Meta's Platform Policy, we have implemented automatic data deletion when you remove our app from your Instagram account. When you disconnect our app:

• We will immediately revoke your account connection
• We will stop all automation processes for your account
• We will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
• We will confirm the deletion process has been completed

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will delete:

• Your Instagram account information and profile data
• All stored access tokens and authentication credentials
• Campaign configurations and automation settings
• Analytics and usage data associated with your account
• All personal information stored in our systems

Data Retention Exceptions: We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:

• Transaction and billing records (for accounting and tax purposes)
• Information required to comply with legal obligations
• Anonymized analytics data (with all personally identifiable information removed)

Deauthorization Process

When you disconnect our app from your Instagram account, the following happens automatically:

1. Meta sends a deauthorization callback to our server
2. We immediately invalidate all access tokens associated with your account
3. We stop all automation processes for your account
4. We initiate the data deletion process
5. We confirm deletion to Meta via the callback response

Note: Our data deletion callback URL is configured in our Instagram App settings in Meta's Developer Console and complies with Meta's Platform Policy requirements for data deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
